We welcomed the birth of Cody and Nicole's first baby, Savannah Rachelle Lake, on May 23, 2011 at 2:12am. She was 4lbs, 6oz and 17 in long. She was 6 weeks early and spent 4 weeks in the NICU.

The cruise was how our family celebrated Christmas for 2010. It was a great time. The weather ended up a little cooler than anticipated, but overall it was a great vacation. We all look forward to the next family vacation!

The Past Few Months

Here's to trying to catch up on the past few months!

We've had the opportunity to have Graycee stay at our home for at least one weekend per month over the past several months. We are grateful for that. We enjoy spending time with her and watching her grow!

June 12 was Tiffany's 30th Birthday. Since it was on Saturday, we invited her and Kevin over for breakfast. They showed up to the Grim Reaper!

We spent the 4th of July at Nicole's in Leamington this year. We had a BBQ, rode the horses, went shooting, lit fireworks, and just enjoyed everyone's company.

Rachel, Tiffany and Tim took Graycee to the Spanish Fork Reservoir one day in the summer. It was beautiful, but the water was ice cold and the "beach" area was steaming hot! Next time, they'll go prepared.

We had the opportunity to go to Montana for our niece Kelsey's wedding reception. While there we took advantage of the chance to go to Glacier. It was beautiful.

In August, Rob and Robin came to visit. We took them down to Nicole's to see the horses. We also went tubing on the Provo River and had a BBQ in Vivian Park while they were here. It was a blast. David and De were also able to make it down.

For David's birthday this year we went to Olive Garden and then up to Sundance. It was the last weekend for their full moon scenic lift ride. It was beautiful, but very cold.

We took a ride up Payson Canyon to see the beautiful changing leaves. Well, many of the trees hadn't changed yet and others were very dull in color. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful day.

Well, with Tiffany having a Masters Degree, Nicole completing her Bachelor, Wesley, Timothy, and Daniel working on their Bachelor; David decided he needed to keep up with his children.
He will graduate Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management on April 30.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year. We had a house full...Papa & Pama, David and De & family, Rob & Robin, and our whole family! There were 26 or 27 people this year and at least 18 or 19 of those people were staying in our home. We had a great dinner, some fun games, and even celebrated Robert's 33rd birthday!

This was Graycee's first experience with cake!

Overall, the wedding turned out WONDERFUL. Everyone pitched in and used their individual talents to bring together a beautiful ceremony and reception. There was also a great turnout. We are grateful for everyone's help and support!

Welcome Home

Elder Daniel Keesler returned from his mission on Friday night. He served in the New York Utica Mission. Daniel received an honorable release on Saturday morning. He is home a couple months early, but has been battling illness for several months now. We are taking him to a specialist tomorrow, but believe he needs his tonsils out. We are very excited to have him home and grateful for his testimony and service.

David and Rachelle are on a cruise somewhere in the Pacific Ocean with the Taylors! They were suppose to go to the Mexican Rivera, but......Swine Flu. They are visiting Los Angeles, Alcatraz, Seattle, and more. Watch for some pictures soon...

Caribbean Cruise

We ended 2007 and began 2008 with a Caribbean Cruise for Christmas 2007. We were joined by Wesley, Abby, and Daniel. It was very relaxing to get away from Utah's cold. It made us decide to do Christmas vacations with our kids every other year while they are with us!

Dan receives his mission call to the Utica New York mission. He left on February 13, 2008. He is loving his mission and always shows his unique personality through his emails and pictures.

Kevin and Tiffany Graduate

Kevin graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Finance from UVU in June 2008. He chose not to walk in graduation. Tiffany graduated with her Master's Degree in Education from SUU in August 2007, but couldn't walk until May 2008. We were able to convince her to walk this time! It was fun to attend her graduation in Cedar City!

Wesley and Abby marry

Wesley and Abby were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 19, 2008. Wesley proposed to Abby on December 19, 2007 while in the Grand Cayman Islands.

Tim returns from his Mission

Tim returns home from the Tallahassee Florida mission on Friday, October 24, 2008. He was released on October 16, 2008, but we went down to visit and play for a week before returning home.

Cody and Nicole end well...

Cody and Nicole can't wait to see this year end as they have had a rough go of it... Cody totaled his truck, Nicole lost her first foal, they lost 7 cows to the train that runs through their land, etc. However, they ended it well by getting an 800 or 900 lbs. elk during the hunt!

Hagood's

David has an "adopted" brother named David Hagood. He always swore he would get baptized some day. Well, Tim baptized him while serving his mission in Florida. They waited their year and came to be sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. David and Betty Hagood shared their special moment with us on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. We are grateful for their great spirits!
